Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor

Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor are used for proctoring exams online. LockDown Browser limits the websites and applications a student is able to access while taking an exam. Respondus Monitor uses a student’s webcam and monitors the student’s activity while they are taking the exam.

Respondus offers many online training resources for faculty and students. These resources include webinars, training videos, and resources such as downloadable start-up guides.

Respondus Quiz Generator

Respondus Quiz Generator is a software application used to create questions offline and publish them in the D2L Brightspace Quiz tool. A license key must be updated in order to use Respondus Quiz Generator.

Inver Hills faculty have access to the installation file for Respondus and information and terms about installing the software:

  • Install the Software by submitting a JIRA ticket to the IT department.
  • Access the License Key via the IHCC Invernet. To access the license key, enter your login credentials (StarID and password) for Invernet. Using the menu on the left-hand side of the screen, click on the Resources heading, then select the Faculty tab. The key is available under the Faculty Resources box, titled Respondus Software (contact IT Dept) (Software License Key).
