Creating Alt Text Using Copilot

The purpose of this tech tip is to assist you in creating alt text for images you use in your course. Alt text cause images to be accessible to all learners. For this example, we will use an image of a horse running:

1. Open Copilot:

Where you type your prompt

2. With copilot open, ask for alt text for the attached image that is WCAG 2.1 compliant

3. Use the Plus sign to add your image

4. Click the arrow in the purple circle in the lower right corner of the message box:

5. Copy the Alt text and use where needed.
