Ensuring Accessible Font Color Within the D2L Content Editor

This tech tip will demonstrate how you can ensure your font color is accessible when working within the D2L Brightspace content editor.

1. Select your text in the D2L content editor:

2. Click the Select Color icon on the toolbar:

3. When you click a color, you will see contrast for large and small text. You want both of these to have a green check mark. The following are examples of good and bad contrast:

Bad contrast:

Red X next to Small Contrast Green check mark next to Large Contrast

Good contrast:

Green check mark beside Small Contrast and Large Contrast

 

4. When done, click the Save button within the Select a Color message box:
