This week’s tech tip will focus on how to link an announcement to any piece of material in your D2L class site. This includes assignments, checklists, content, etc. The advantage of this is you can direct students where to go in your course.
This example will demonstrate how to link an announcement to a content item.
1. On the Announcement page, click New Announcement:
2. Enter a headline for the announcement:
3. Click the Insert Quicklink icon in the content section:
4. Click the area that contains the item:
5. Browse to and click the item you would like to link to:
6. Fill out the rest of the fields as needed:
7. Click Publish or (Save as Draft to publish at a later date):
